Piano

My repertoire includes all epochs of piano literature up to contemporary music. From an early age, I knew: «I want to be a pianist!» Disciplined, with a lot of diligence and at least as much enthusiasm, I have realised my childhood dream. In doing so, I am always open to new perspectives: I am a concert pianist, a music journalist and I give piano lessons. When working as an oceanic pianist on the high seas, I am happy to grant the ladies and gentleman a wish or two.

Concert pianist

My broad solo repertoire ranges from D. Scarlatti to S. Gubaidulina, works for solo piano and piano with orchestra as well as chamber music with Nils Mönkemeyer and Wendy Champney of the Carmina Quartet among others. Encounters with works and musicians that still touch and inspire me today.

Piano lessons

Teaching the joy of music and piano playing, is one of the most beautiful things about being a professional musician. Time and again, I can see how classical music touches people across all generations. Fascinating and quite understandable, since composers such as Schubert and Chopin have immortalised timeless themes in their works.

Cultural journalism

The Master’s degree in cultural journalism at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) has given me a whole new perspective. As a cultural journalist for Radio SRF 2 Kultur or for print media, I can bring the various facets of classical music to a broader audience.
